How does chiropractic help your animal?

Benefits of chiropractic

Benefits of chiropractic care include improved range of motion, increased energy, reduced inflammation, relaxed muscles, better joint motion, stimulation of the nervous system, increased circulation, decreased pain, better quality of life, improved performance, reduction of allergies, better digestion and much more. Chiropractic directly effects the nervous system ie. the brain and spinal cord. This is a highway that allows signals to flow from the brain to every area in the body. When the nervous system is functioning properly, it allows for healing and optimal function on every level. This is why chiropractic can have some unexpected, yet positive effects like better digestion and improving allergies.

What does an adjustment look like?

What an adjustment includes

We start by taking a brief history on your animal to learn more about their health, any issues they may have, or symptoms they are experiencing. A posture and gait analysis will be done, followed by neurological assessment to determine where your animals issues are and how their nervous system is functioning. Any restrictions in the joints will be felt by motioning each joint. Dr. Sam will perform some gentle massaging either with a massage gun, or by hand to loosen any tight muscles. She will also assess if there are any trigger points that need to be addressed during this time. Next, Dr. Sam will use a gentle and effective thrust, in a specific line of correction, to deliver the chiropractic adjustment to any areas that are restricted in the spine and extremities. Some light stretching of the limbs will be done afterwards to conclude the visit.
