ABOUT
At Next Level Performance Chiropractic, Dr Sam strives to provide and create a safe and comfortable experience for all animals she touches. Animal chiropractic has come a long way from what it started out as. Adjustments are always and only performed with the doctors hands using a gentle and effective thrust. A chiropractic adjustment at Next Level Performance Chiropractic never involves forcing an animal to do anything. We work with the animal, rather than on the animal. This helps to create a positive relationship between the chiropractor and the animal which allows the animal to heal and accept the adjustment with their nervous system in a relaxed state.
Dr. Sam has a strong passion for working with horses and this is why her speciality is equine chiropractic. Dr. Sam has 18 years of experience in handling horses and can work with all types of horses from miniatures to drafts, young to geriatric, nervous nellies, and difficult horses.
Chiropractic is an adjunct to veterinary medicine, not a replacement. We are always more than happy to provide your veterinarian with details from each adjustment. Occassionally there are rare cases an animal will not be a candidate for chiropractic care and will need to be referred to seek veterinary attention.
Meet the doctor
Dr. Samantha Garlick
Ever since she was a little girl, Dr. Sam had a huge draw to animals, especially horses. At a young age she knew she wanted to work with animals and had a plan to become a veterinarian. She got her first horse at 10 years old and has continued to ride and compete ever since.
Throughout her years riding, she always had her horses under chiropractic care. She saw how valuable it was and how it effected her horses performance. After taking more interest in chiropractic and working at a local chiropractic office, she saw the amazing successes that could be had by the power of our own hands and she decided to become a chiropractor.
Dr. Sam attended Eastern Michigan University where she got her bachelors degree then packed up and headed down to Marietta, Georgia where she started chiropractic school in 2018 at Life University. She earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree where she learned to help people without the use of drugs and surgery.
Towards the end of her time in Georgia, Dr. Sam enrolled in animal chiropractic school in Texas. She attended Animal Chiropractic Education Source where she learned the art and science of animal chiropractic. Dr. Sam is certified in animal chiropractic by the ACCC (American Chiropractic Certification Commission) of the AVCA (American Veterinary Chiropractic Association) which is the world leader in animal chiropractic.
Dr. Sam prides herself on her education and continuing to learn the most up to date practices of chiropractic and natural health care.
Dr. Sam currently lives in Ypsilanti township with her husband Brian, and dog Uno. In her spare time you can catch her riding her horses, competing in barrel racing or spending time with her family.
Dr. Sam looks forward to working with you and your furry friends!
